Kitty in a Tree
Ingrid was passed down this kitty suit by Miss Moira in San Francisco. Her chunky limbs and melon head just barely fit in it. She was very happy when we took it off.
Happy Halloween!
Well, so much for the good behavior on my return from the OC. Ingrid's been splendid for Renee during the day, but does NOT want to sleep at night. After a couple nights of her waking every half hour (OH THE HORROR!!!) I took her into the Doc, thinking she may have an ear infection (thanks for the tip Suzu) since she didn't want to be horizontal. She is just fine though. Apparently she just needs to make sure I am here, rather than in California. Last night was a little better. Hopefully by the end of the weekend she'll be back to her usual schedule. I'm just glad she's napping, smiling and playing for Renee, since, unlike me, Renee can quit.
Speaking of Renee, she had the brilliant idea of taking Ingrid to the pumpkin patch. Ingrid was much more interested in the cars in the parking lot than the pumpkins.

Grandma Joan to the Rescue
I was in Orange County last week, enjoying 90 degree weather, a giant pool, a fine margarita and very jolly dinner out with colleagues (and doing some work) while Ingrid stayed home with Mike, Grandma Joan and Nanny Renee. Apparently she was not so well-behaved. On my first day back however, she was an angel. Maybe she learned she can't take me for granted? We'll see how things go during my next trip in December.
Look closely and you can see Ingrid's belly button.

Weekend Fun

All kinds of fun weekend activities for Ingrid. Like.... helping with laundry!!! and playing w/Mommy on the living floor in jammies. All day long. Her expression here (in the yellow sleeper) is kind of like mine when I realize at just what hour she expects playtime to begin.
I got my haircut a few weeks ago (these pics are from 10/3-5), because every morning when I would wake up with wacky stick-up hair Ingrid looked at it funny. It is really obvious she is looking at my hair and not my face. She didn't react at all to it being chopped off or being scary-gray, which surprised me. But when I dyed it, she stared and stared. Eventually she did go back to looking at my face.
