Technically our first stop for this trip to MI was in Ann Arbor due to the inability to use our car seat with the seat belts in the rental car. Too new-fangled to use without a base. A trip to the walmart (should we just buy a new carseat, since she's nearly outgrown the baby one???) near the airport had me nearly in tears due to exhaustion...(my first and last trip to walmart.) So, we went to A2 for the night. In the morning sanity prevailed. An extra base for the seat was to be had at target and we were on our way across the state... into a huge snowstorm. We made it to within a block of Papa and Bonnie's on the lake and then got stuck in a snowdrift. We carried Ingrid to the house, where all sorts of new and exciting things awaited her. A jumperoo! An exersaucer! A new pack 'n' play! A jacuzzi! Despite giant mounds of snow, Ingrid got to meet a whole bunch of new people: her cousin Shavonne, Great Grandma Gertrude, the ladies from downstairs and Don and Barb from across the street. A splendid time was had by all.
