More Grandparents!!

Last weekend Papa and Bonnie came to pay homage to Miss Ingrid. A great time was had by all.

Happy Fourth of July!

We celebrated the Fourth by giving Ingrid her first real bath. She liked being in the water, but wasn't so sure about being washed. Lesson learned: do it a little faster and it can be completed while she is still happy. We were too busy to take photos during... but here a couple after shots showing Ingrid's fluffy clean hair naturally arranged in a faux-hawk. The bath was prompted by Mike's observation that "her hair looks greasy". A few days after the Fourth, we found Ingrid arranging herself as the Statue of Liberty. In her defense, she doesn't know about FISA.

In these pics Ingrid wishes I would either feed her, let her sleep or at least just watch Bergman's "Scenes from a Marriage" and leave her alone. From the experience I learned that it is not worth continuing my netflix subscription during this period when I am primarily occupied as cow.

Ingrid likes: being held while we eat dinner; napping after a fine meal of her own; the groovy
vibes of the dryer (VEEEERRRRY soothing); our new recliner (Oh wait, it's me that likes that); and, last but not least, Grandma Joan's ten verses of "this old man." (see next post for video of verse 6) Ingrid's current non-food related favorite is being bounced on the exercise ball. That is the cure for all ills and will surely be documented soon. Her favorite thing to look at (spongebob is passe) is now the slats in the headboard of our bed.
