In honor of Ingrid's first birthday we went out for breakfast at the Mission Cafe. Ingrid had scrambled eggs, sausage, bits of tortilla, black beans, blueberries and spoonfuls of my smoothie. I figured outdoor dining was best, so that nature would simply re-assimilate all the food hurled or dropped by Ingrid. The highlight of the outing for Ingrid was the river of stones separating the two areas of the state employee parking lot across the street from the restaurant. It being her birthday weekend, she got to spent some time sampling the rocks and selecting a few to bring home. Birthday or not, when we got home it was time for chores. Ingrid is very helpful with hanging laundry and sweeping. At bedtime we stepped outside to look at the sky... and there was a double rainbow.
